PhD, M.Sc BCIA – BCN- Neurotherapist

Dr. Stephanie Varga has been a neurotherapist for 14 years. She is certified in neurofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America. She has completed her PhD in Psychology with a specialization in Psychophysiology. Her area of expertise includes anxiety, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, autism, ADD, depression, insomnia and learning disabilities.

Similar to an fMRI, brain mapping  measures axonial oscillatory patterns at the surface of the scalp, which primarily reflect cortical electrical activity or brain functioning.

Cranio-Electro Stimulation (CES) is a non-invasive brain stimulation that applies a small pulsed electric current on the scalp. This small electrical stimulus which is applied laterally across the cranium stimulates endorphins, serotonin and norepinephrine

Neurofeedback uses real-time digital technology to measure electrical activity of the brain (EEG) and present this information, allowing a person to manipulate their own brain activity. Neurofeedback has been shown to be effective in the treatment of ADHD, seizure disorders, anxiety (eg, obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias), depression, reading disabilities, and addictive disorders.

Utilizes an ultra-low intensity, pulsed electromagnetic field (pEMF) to replenish energy and reduce stress in the brain and body.

Alpha-Stim begins at the electron level, allowing your cells to return to their natural functioning stat. This therapy has been used effectively for conditions such as insomnia, depression and anxiety.

Transcranial direct current stimulation is applied over the scalp with the intention of altering neuronal activity, it is known and has been found to be effective in modulating neuron firing. tDCS is being used for the treatment of many conditions, including depression.
